Mark B. O’Brien, President & CEO, graduated from Princeton University, A.B., History 1973. He received his MBA in Finance in 1975 from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His investment experience began in 1976 as Manager of Investor Relations for Textron, Inc, Providence, Rhode Island. Mr. O’Brien also worked for Ashford Capital Management, Greenville, Delaware, where he analyzed emerging growth companies for equity investment. He continued his investment experience at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a portfolio manager until February, 1987. Since then he has managed approximately $200 million in discretionary and nondiscretionary, taxable and non-taxable accounts as principal in his own firm, O’Brien Greene & Co. Mr. O’Brien also manages the O’Brien Greene Small-Capitalization Stock Fund, L.P.
Doris K. Nolly, Operations Manager and Securities Trader, has over thirty-five years of experience in the investment business. She began her career in 1969 at Laird Bissell & Meed in Wilmington, Delaware, a broker-dealer which later merged with Dean Witter. In 1977, she joined White Weld & Company’s trading desk in Wilmington, Delaware. Merrill Lynch & Company purchased White Weld in 1978. In 1979, Ms. Nolly continued her career at Wilmington Capital Management, Inc., a nationally-known independent Investment Counseling firm where she held the position of Assistant Trader, Operations Specialist, and assistant Corporate Recordkeeper. In 1990, Wilmington Trust Company, Wilmington, Delaware, purchased Wilmington Capital Management. In 1993, Ms. Nolly joined and participated in the opening of the newly-chartered Christiana Bank & Trust Company, Greenville, Delaware, as Trust Operations Manager, Assistant Trust Officer, and Assistant Corporate Secretary. She joined O’Brien Greene & Co. in June of 1996. Ms. Nolly oversees the Investment Operations, Trading, Client and Consultant Reporting, and client support functions at O’Brien Greene & Company.
Sally Hart Sulcove, CFA, CFP. Equity Analyst and Portfolio Manager. Sally joined O’Brien Greene & Co. in September of 2002. She is responsible for generating valuation estimates for existing holdings and identifying candidates for new investment. Responsibilities also include macroeconomic analysis, portfolio management, and assisting clients with financial planning concerns. Prior to joining O’Brien Greene, Sally worked in the research department of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, where she wrote research reports, built financial models, and made presentations to the sales force about companies in the manufacturing and chemical industries. Sally majored in economics and graduated with honors in 1996 from Swarthmore College, Swarthmore, PA. Sally was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in September 2000 and received the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in May 2006.
Benjamin C.O’Brien, Equity Analyst. Ben graduated from The University of Notre Dame in 2008 and joined O’Brien Greene in 2009. He passed the Level I Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam in December 2010. Ben follows our existing equity holdings and generates reports on prospective investments.
